This Privacy Policy covers how Cipinet treats personal information Cipinet collects and records when you submit your website for inclusion in our search engine, directory and/or banner exchange.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies or individuals that Cipinet campaigns for, listed on Cipinet search engine, directory and/or banner exchange. Information Collection and Use

For search engine listing, we only ask for a webpage or website address which a visitor would like to submit. IP address is also saved at the time of website submission. We do not ask for Email address at the time of website submission for Cipinet Search Engine. Cipinet automatically receives and records information when a visitor makes a query at Cipinet search engine. The information includes Keywords used, IP address, the type of Browser used and the time the search was made. This information is used only for the purpose of improving our search engine services.

For directory submission, visitor has to open an account. We ask for website and some personal information. Every information submitted is saved for future reference. Email address is only used for sending email when their website is either approved or disapproved. Website submission in Cipinet web directory is paid inclusion service effective Mid of April 2007. Premium and Sponsoring links feature is optional if registered members want to promote their link only on Cipinet web directory. Their link will be ranked higher in particular category or sub-category and web directory search pages. If a submission is not found suitable, it will be rejected and total amount paid will be refunded. No money will be refunded if the website is approved. Website is only disapproved if an editor does not find it suitable for inclusion. Paid listing at Cipinet web directory does not mean their website will be included or ranked higher in Cipinet search engine. Holiday offer, if any, is valid from the day it appears on directory pages and is valid till the date mentioned.

For advertising in banner exchange, one has to open an account and we request applicants to submit their personal and website details. Campaign(s) and banner(s) if not found suitable, will be rejected. Even if campaign/banner is rejected, account details are not removed and are stored at the safe place to contact the advertiser if need arises.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Cipinet does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people and/or affiliated and nonaffiliated companies.

Cookies

Cookies are used on our website for the purpose of logging into web directory account, banner exchange account and limiting banner impressions and clicks at banner exchange.

Security

Cipinet stores your personal information inside our premises under safe custody. Access is limited to those employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information.
